- Green Lake Natural Medicine is continuing to follow CDC guidance on in-office hygiene and wearing masks to appointments. As this guidance changes over time, we will update our policies.
- We are continuing to offer Telemedicine visits as an alternative to conventional face-to-face appointments should you desire an appointment with the doctor from the comfort of your home.
This is a live video appointment with the doctor where most health issues and concerns can be discussed and managed. Click HERE for more information on Telemedicine visits.
- About COVID-19
We have seen much evidence that shows that certain people are at increased risk for developing more problematic symptoms than others. These include: adults 65 or older and people with serious medical conditions (such as chronic lung disease, kidney disease, heart disease, diabetes, or any other immune compromising issue)
Symptoms that are suggestive of COVID-19 infection include: cough, fever above 100.4 degrees F, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, sore throat, and/or muscle aches
If you are experiencing any of these symptoms –
- STAY HOME and ISOLATE from others in your home
- Take a home COVID test or get a PCR test from a local provider
- Contact your primary care provider who can help you determine if further testing or more specific care is needed
- Preventing the spread of COVID-19
COVID-19 spreads from person-to-person via respiratory droplets (like a common flue or cold)
COVID-19 can be spread by individuals who are NOT showing symptoms as well as those that are so, you may potentially have it not know it
Recommendations:
- Stay at home if you have any concerning signs or symptoms
- Masks – wearing a mask when out of your home and around other people is now voluntary. We encourage everyone to make the best choice for themselves and encourage tolerance and acceptance of each person’s choice in this area.
- Wash your hands with soap and warm water after being out in the world; do this for at least 20 seconds – sing Happy Birthday twice while scrubbing
- Avoid touching your face (COVID-19 is a virus that needs a way into the body – that happens through mucus membranes line your mouth, nose, and eyes; if you don’t touch them, you can avoid allowing the virus into your body)
The CDC has detailed information on COVID-19 including: how it is spread, measures to take to prevent its spread, symptoms to be concerns about, and what to do if you have those symptoms.
