I felt so cared for by Dr. Milkis in my recent office appointment for a respiratory virus that I was in tears. I am so grateful to have found him several years ago, then at the Bastyr Center, after I had been struggling with asthma, Gerd/reflux, and other ailments that I was not getting sufficient treatment for despite having seen so-called "experts". In my first visit with Dr. Milkis I was blown away by how much time and energy he put into finding out as much as he could about me and had the best bedside manner. The remedies that Dr. Milkis recommended, largely around diet and natural supplements, relieved my symptoms amazingly to where I was able to get off the inhalers that weren't working for me! I'm pleased that he is finally in his own private practice to be properly compensated for all that he provides in contrast to so many others who are pushing patients through.

Dr. Milkis has been my ND and primary care provider for the last 17 years. Dr. Milkis is caring, compassionate, and takes time to listen and work with you on the best plan for your health and well being. I can think of many nice words to say about his expertise, knowledge and wonderful personally but it would not due justice to the superlative care he provides.

Steve Milkis has been my physician for almost 17 years. When I first went to see him I had horrible neck pain almost all the time and was used to having chiropractor appointments several times a month if not weekly. Since that time he has been able to help me so much that I rarely have neck pain and when I do it's quite manageable. In addition he has helped me with a wide range of other issues, mostly asthma, GI, and musculoskeletal, including very efficiently identifying a food sensitivity I had no clue of, that was causing my chronic respiratory issues.

He works extremely hard to make the most out of the time you have with him. He is always up on the latest research and will customize the treatment plan to what is best for you as an individual. He is highly personable and truly cares about how you are doing.

Whether you've been struggling with a chronic condition or if you simply need a great primary care doctor I highly recommend him.

Dr. Milkis is a wonderful, caring, compassionate doctor who listens! I began seeing Dr. Milkis at the Bastyr center, where he was a professor, a few years ago. I endure a rare genetic disorder called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. I have hundreds of subluxations or dislocations of bones and joints daily. Most doctors are quite frankly overwhelmed by me, and all my associated complications, but not Dr. Milkis! He is careful, and thorough and hasn't ever subluxed a joint on my body (which is quite the accomplishment).

He has helped me navigate gastrointestinal issues, chronic debilitating pain, headaches and so much more. He's gone above and beyond so many times, whether it's filling out paperwork to obtain home health care, or writing letters for the social security administration, he truly has my best interests at heart. If you are normal, or are super complicated like me, you couldn't find a better doctor anywhere! Trust me, I've been to hundreds of doctors in the area and he's the best of the best.

My entire family have been seeing Dr. Milkis for the last 15 years at Bastyr. We are very excited that he is opening a new location on his own. We definitely plan to continue seeing Dr. Milkis in his new location.

When we first starting seeing him after getting frustrated with traditional medicine, we were amazed at the amount of time he spent getting to know you and the reason for your visit. We have continued to be amazed and delighted with the care Dr. Milkis has provided. It's such a breath of fresh air to have a Dr. figure out what the true issue is, and figure out why it is happening instead of " here, take this pill and see if it helps" . That's what my husband was told about headaches he'd been dealing with for years, but Dr. Milkis helped him with those terrible headaches by adjusting his atlas and making a few dietary changes.

He once made a salve for my son to put on the planter warts he had on his foot. The dermatologist wanted to cut them out, but after two weeks of the salve, they were totally gone! no surgery required.

The other thing I really like about Dr. Milkis is he is very reasonable. He doesn't expect you to drastically change everything in your life all at once. It's a process, I'm glad we've had Dr. Milkis to guide us thought these changes and will continue to depend on his amazing care for years to come! I have recommended him to several friends who have also been very happy and I'm confident you will be too.
